About the roleThis Private Client Lawyer position will see you working within a collaborative and supportive private client team, handling a varied caseload including:

• Drafting Wills
• Estate administration (intestacy and probate matters)
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Declarations of Trust
• Managing the affairs of elderly clients
• Court of Protection matters (particularly at junior level)
• More complex estate administration (desirable for senior level)

Key details:

• Full-time or part-time considered
• Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (1-hour lunch)
• Based in Eastbourne

You will be supported by an experienced Head of Department, fellow solicitors, legal executives and dedicated secretarial support.What we are looking forThe firm is open-minded on level, but the right Private Client Lawyer will demonstrate:

• 2-3 years' PQE (flexibility for the right person)
• Experience in probate and estate administration
• A compassionate and client-focused approach
• The confidence to manage your own caseload (with support where needed)
• A genuine team-oriented attitude
• Ambition to grow technically and professionally

For more senior applicants:

• Ability to step in and support the Head of Department
• Experience in more complex estate matters desirable

For more junior applicants:

• Solid foundational private client experience
• Enthusiasm to develop and progress within a structured team
