Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm - Hybrid

Job Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive (4+ PQE) to join a well-established and expanding law firm based in South Northamptonshire. This role offers a high-quality caseload, career progression, and a supportive, professional working environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Department and other team members, handling a wide range of private client matters involving high-net-worth individuals and rural estates.

Key Responsibilities
Advising clients on Inheritance Tax and Estate Planning

Drafting Wills, Trusts, and Lasting Powers of Attorney

Administering estates, including inheritance tax calculations and applications for relevant reliefs

Supporting the creation and administration of Trusts

Engaging in business development and client relationship management

Collaborating with colleagues to maintain high standards of service delivery

Candidate Requirements
Essential:

Qualified Solicitor or CILEx (or equivalent)

Minimum 4 years of PQE in Private Client law

Strong client care and communication skills

Proven ability to manage a varied caseload independently

Excellent drafting, organisation, and time management skills

Confident IT user (Microsoft Office and legal software)

Full UK/EU driving licence and access to own transport

Commercially astute and proactive team player

Desirable:

Experience or knowledge of Agricultural and Business Property Relief

Business development or networking experience
