Print Operative

Hourly Rate

up to £16.50 an hour (dependent on experience)

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

• Operating both manual and semi-automatic machines, including 4-colour stack presses and an 8-colour CI press
• Monitoring machinery output to meet and exceed production targets
• Identifying and resolving print issues
• Conducting shift handovers to ensure smooth production transitions, including briefing the next shift and checking machinery
• Optimising changeovers while maintaining health, safety, and quality standards
• Mounting print plates and colour matching as needed
• Following lean manufacturing practices, including SMED and 5S principles
• Maintaining a clean, safe work environment by addressing spills immediately and promoting safety

A Few Things About You

• Ideally, you have experience in print
• NVQ in Print (desirable but not essential)
• High attention to detail and meticulous approach
• Able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent time-keeping and attendance

Working Hours

• Average of 38.5 hours per week
• Continental shifts, Monday to Friday, covering both days and nights

OR

• 44 hours a week
• Monday to Thursday 06.45am 19.00pm and Tuesday to Friday 18.45pm to 07.00am. 2 week rotation.
