Principal Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team, supporting a growing portfolio of projects, particularly in the Healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and report to the Associate Team Leader.
• Provide technical input and guidance to junior and graduate engineers.
• Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
• Carry out quality control checks on design calculations and drawings.
• Prepare technical specification sections.
• Contribute to engineering budgets and schedules.
• Use software tools for mechanical building services design.

Requirements

• Strong communicator with good negotiation skills.
• Passionate, motivated, and keen to develop professionally.
• Working towards membership of a professional body (e.g., CIBSE).
• Proficient in BIM and other design software.
• Experience with low-carbon system design and IES or similar tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
• Progressing toward professional registration (e.g., CIBSE).
