Principal Environmental Advisor

Stantec's Environmental Team is working closely with our clients to develop innovative, sustainable, and efficient solutions by applying new ways of working. We are seeking driven individuals who think differently and challenge conventional thinking to join our growing, collaborative team of consultants working to meet industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges.

Currently, we are looking for a Senior or Principal Environmental Advisor / Scientist to join us, ideally in our Newcastle, Leeds, or Reading office. We are open to considering applicants from elsewhere in the UK and will also consider part-time working for suitable candidates. This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious team with significant scope for career progression.

Your role will involve supporting the delivery of project environmental objectives and targets. You will assist the EIA and environmental management teams by conducting environmental planning reports, EIAs, environmental management studies, and audits. Additionally, you will manage environmental and sustainability issues.

Ideally, you will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Science, or Environmental Planning from a professional accreditation body such as CIWEM, IEMA, or RTPI. You should demonstrate experience as an Environmental Advisor, with knowledge of EIAs, environmental management studies, audits, and data analysis using GIS. Knowledge of ecology, flood risk, town planning, or water resources would be beneficial.
