We are currently looking for a Principal /Lead Engineer - Electrical to join a leading client of ours in the Defence/Nuclear sector. They are a leading infrastructure solutions provider driving innovation across transportation, energy, water, and defence sectors. They are renowned for delivering complex, high-impact projects that support national sustainability and economic growth goals.

As a Principal Electrical Engineer you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for an innovative hydrogen project. This role demands deep expertise in electrical engineering for process plants and strong leadership capabilities to oversee a major project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical input and approve electrical engineering documents.
• Allocate tasks and ensure on-time project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations.
• Prepare requisitions and review bids for HV/LV equipment.

Key skills:

• Experience in HV system design up to 33kV.
• Strong knowledge of HV protection systems and schematics.
• Skilled in electrical network and earthing system design.
• Proficient in power system analysis (fault levels, load flow).
• Expertise in specifying equipment for hazardous areas.
