Principal Development Surveyor

The Principal Development Surveyor is responsible for managing development projects within the local authority's property portfolio, focusing on delivering development sites that generate funding for front line services.

• Develop and implement development and investment strategies.
• Conduct financial appraisals to ensure project feasibility and value for money.
• Lead commercial negotiations and secure funding with stakeholders.
• Provide strategic advice on site development and planning applications.
• Prepare reports for the Corporate Property Steering Group (CPSG) on development projects.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, statutory, and energy saving policies.
• Manage and report information securely per local authority policies.

• Degree in Real Estate, Planning, or Property Development (or similar).
• Full Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
