Who we are looking for
As part of the Professional Services organization within Mercatus, the primary goal of the Principal Consultant will be to ensure successful Implementation and Configuration Services ("ICS") to meet customer requirements, promote customer adoption, and facilitate the sale of other company Software and Services. This role is critical as it takes over from the finalized Sales contract to ensure effective customer onboarding, which can last several months. As a senior team member during a high growth phase, this individual will also support business development efforts throughout the sales process. The role balances Sales, Client Management, and Operations, working closely across all company areas to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business. The Principal Consultant will serve as the key interface to customer success, engaging with large private markets funds and multinational companies. The core responsibility is delivery-leading execution to meet client goals while acting as a trusted advisor. VP-level responsibilities include managing more complex, strategic clients.

CRD develops enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions, including areas like institutional investment, wealth management, and hedge funds. What you will be responsible for
As Principal Consultant, you will:
- Client Work: Own client engagement and program management of Professional Services deployment
- Manage customer relationships throughout ICS
- Guide customers to decisions and drive deadlines assertively
- Lead requirements gathering to ensure successful configuration
- Design deployment outcomes focusing on Business Intelligence visuals for reporting and analysis
- Define deployment options, outlining advantages and disadvantages
- Coordinate Business Managers responsible for customer integration
- Deliver final configuration and complete onboarding
- Establish a plan for Organization Change Management, including leading live training and supporting post-ICS adoption with the Account Manager
- Business Development: Sales and Marketing
- Identify opportunities for additional Software or Services during ICS engagements
- Drive proof-of-concepts to demonstrate deployment success and SaaS value
- Lead trial account engagements for prospective clients
What we value
- 4+ years' experience implementing SaaS solutions in private markets, i-banks, or Fortune 500 companies
- Experience in Private Credit/Debt, Infrastructure investments, Private Equity, Fund/Portfolio Management
- Experience leading change management across large enterprises (50+ people, multiple regions)
- Effective communication from C-level to entry level
- Strong interpersonal skills for client relationship management
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and process efficiency
- Proactive in seeking solutions and performance improvements
- Experience with Business Intelligence dashboards and data modeling (highly preferred)
- Experience delivering corporate training and promoting software usage (preferred)
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in finance or business preferred
- CAIA or CFA designation highly preferred
Additional requirements
- Willingness to travel up to 30%, including internationally
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in fast-paced, changing environments
