Job Description

This is a senior role where you will work closely with a portfolio of clients to shape safety improvement strategies, build strong partnerships and act as a subject matter expert in driving risk reduction and safety performance. The role plays a key part in shaping the direction of our Consultancy function, from developing improvement plans and identifying efficiencies, to providing strategic input to leadership. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands on consultancy with influencing at a strategic level.

Key Role Responsibilities
  • Deliver ing the customer care levels to your portfolio of clients building strong relationships with them to understand their needs and requirements
  • Designing and delivering a Safety Improvement Plan for each of your clients
  • Identifying opportunities to improve safety performance within each of your clients whilst working in partnership with the Key Account Manager for that client
  • Foster ing a culture in accordance with our values and provid ing leadership, direction and support within the Safety Consultancy department
  • Supporting the development of the S afety C onsultancy function, suggesting and implementing changes that will improve the commerciality of our consultancy offering
  • Provid ing strategic recommendations for the development of the Safety Consultancy function to the Head of Consultancy
  • I dentifying opportunities for streamlining efficienc ies, improvement s and strategic development within the function as a whole
  • Ensuring personal and departmental KPIs and performance are met
  • Support ing the business by delivering and managing technical pre-sales and providing ongoing proactive and reactive advice and support to clients through meetings, project work and regular reporting
  • Being a s ubject matter expert for S afety C onsultancy product development
  • Participating in team-building and company-growth activities including strategy setting, training, and customer care
  • Establishing and maintain regular and appropriate communication with the key contact(s) for the customer through meetings emails and calls
  • Maintaining personal competency, professional development, accreditation and CPD
  • Manag ing relationships effectively within the company, internal/external stakeholders, clients and suppliers, maintaining efficient and appropriate communication with all parties
Knowledge & Skills
  • BSc/MSc in Environmental Health, ideally with EHRB/CIEH Registration/Chartership
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental health consultancy.
  • Strong knowledge of UK environmental health regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools
