Principal Civil Engineer

Due to the growth of our client, they are in need of a Principal Engineer to provide leadership and skills to develop the infrastructure capability of a growing Civil and Structural department.

You will ensure project teams deliver civil and structural designs to cost, schedule and quality criteria as well as ensure project teams have in place appropriate skills and resources.

You will have a strong focus on ensuring compliance with business quality & management systems as well as provide your innovative input in implementing change as directed by leadership.

• Day-to-day management of the project team
• Ensure team compliance with company management system
• Contribute to wider development of the department capabilities
• Lead the design delivery across single projects or multiple smaller projects with support from an Associate Engineer or Director, in single- or multi- discipline teams
• Development of programmes and control of change
• Tender preparation for projects of all sizes, including fee estimates
• Carry out technical design reviews / critiques of projects in progress
• Mentor, train and develop junior engineers
• Support individuals to maximise performance
