VIGO is hiring on behalf of a growing smart buildings specialist looking to expand their northern team. If you're an experienced BEMS Engineer with strong technical know-how and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences this could be your next move.

This is a high-impact role where you'll take ownership of a local portfolio, deliver best-in-class service, and help clients optimise energy performance through intelligent building control.

Your Mission

As Principal BEMS Engineer, your core mission is to act as the trusted technical lead across a dedicated customer base. From fault resolution to system upgrades and proactive improvements, you'll take charge of field service operations, identify opportunities, and play a pivotal role in long-term energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service and technical support across your assigned client base
• Resolve issues and enhance system performance for Trend, Tridium, EcoStruxure, and legacy systems
• Own customer relationships and exceed contracted service levels
• Provide high-quality service reports and recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with account managers and admin teams to generate field based quotes
• Identify upgrade, enhancement, and energy saving opportunities across sites
• Participate in the out of hours callout rota and support your wider team
• Continuously improve your skills via manufacturer and BCIA training courses

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven BEMS engineering experience (3+ years), ideally with Trend, Tridium, or EcoStruxure
• Comfortable working independently in a field based service environment
• Strong customer service mindset with a proactive and professional approach
• Technically confident across BMS system integrations and fault finding
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible, self motivated, and eager to learn
• Full UK driving licence
