The Role

As Principal, you will provide strategic leadership, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and care across the provision. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, oversee curriculum development tailored to post-16 learners, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall direction and performance of the school
• Drive high-quality teaching and learning within an SEN further education setting
• Develop and implement a relevant and aspirational post-16 curriculum
• Promote positive outcomes in independence, employability and life skills
• Manage staff performance, development and wellbeing
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, local authorities and external agencies

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience within SEN education
• Strong background in further education (FE) or post-16 provision
• In-depth understanding of EHCPs and statutory frameworks
• Demonstrable ability to improve outcomes for learners with additional needs
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
