Job Overview

Quantum Scholars is currently looking for an experienced Primary Tutor, including qualified teachers, to deliver 1:1 tuition to pupils receiving Alternative Provision or Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) in Ruislip and the surrounding areas. In this rewarding role, you will support pupils who are currently out of mainstream education. Many of the young people we work with have additional needs such as ADHD, autism, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical needs, and benefit greatly from personalised learning and consistent support.

Tuition is delivered on a 1:1 basis, typically in the pupil's home or within a suitable community setting. Sessions are tailored to each pupil, helping them re engage with learning, rebuild confidence, and develop key academic and personal skills. As a tutor, you will play an important role in creating a positive and supportive learning environment, while planning and preparing lessons and resources to suit each pupil's individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tuition to primary aged pupils outside of mainstream education.
• Flexible, part time hours that can fit around your schedule.
• Sessions typically take place during school hours.
• Opportunities available across Ruislip and nearby areas.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred.
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Ability to travel to Ruislip and surrounding areas for in person sessions.
