Job Description
Primary Teacher (Greenwich, London)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Primary Teacher (KS2) to join our friendly, supportive team at a two-form entry primary school in Greenwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact in a large and welcoming school with a close-knit community. The role is a full time, fixed term position starting September 2026 until July 2027.

Primary Teacher Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare and deliver high quality lessons that align with the National Curriculum in Key Stage 2
  • Develop engaging and differentiated learning activities that challenge and support all students in reaching their full potential
  • Work closely with the Teaching Assistant to ensure tailored support for students, especially those with additional learning needs
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents on academic achievements and development
  • Lead, guide and motivate Key Stage 2 pupils, ensuring they are well prepared for their transition to secondary school
  • Collaborate with the wider staff team and leadership to ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school
Primary Teacher Key Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching Key Stage 2 or a desire to teach it
  • Excellent behaviour management techniques with a good sense of humour
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external agencies
  • Passionate about supporting children's development both academically and socially
