Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant - Permanent Role - Barnet
Location: Barnet, North London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant - About the Role:
A welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Barnet is seeking a dedicated and academically strong Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will support learning across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2, working alongside experienced teachers to help raise attainment and deliver high-quality support to pupils.
Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities:
Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions
Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons
Support pupils with varying learning needs, including SEN
Help prepare resources and classroom materials
Take an active role in school life, including extracurricular activities and events
Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant - Candidate Requirements:
We are looking for a graduate who meets the following criteria:
A 2:1 or higher degree from a Russell Group university (education, English, maths, science or related field preferred)
A genuine interest in teaching and child development
Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
A proactive, adaptable, and professional approach to school life
Prior experience working with children (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is advantageous, though not essential
