Job Description

Level 3 Early Years Practitioner - Full Time (Term Time Only)Start: September Monday - Friday

We are currently working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Wigan area who are looking to appoint a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join their nursery provision from September.

The school prides itself on providing a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is valued as an individual. With a strong focus on partnership with families and creating a positive start to education, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a committed and caring team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support children aged 2-4 through a mix of structured and play-based learning
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS
  • Support early development in communication, literacy, numeracy and physical skills
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment
  • Complete observations, assessments and progress records
  • Support daily routines including settling, toileting, transitions and snack times
  • Act as a key worker, monitoring and reporting on children's progress
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, staff and families
  • Provide intimate care where required (including nappy changing)
  • Work closely with colleagues and external professionals to support children with SEND
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and prioritise the welfare of all children

Requirements:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Experience working within an Early Years setting
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • A nurturing, proactive and team-focused approach
