Pricing Actuary

Arthur is delighted to be supporting an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pricing Actuary to join a leading specialty insurer. This role will support the pricing, performance monitoring and strategic development of Delegated Authority business, partnering closely with underwriting teams and coverholders to drive profitable growth and enhance portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide actuarial pricing support for new and renewal Delegated Authority opportunities.
• Monitor portfolio performance and recommend actions to improve profitability.
• Collaborate with underwriters, coverholders and agents to enhance pricing methodologies and rating structures.
• Develop and maintain pricing models, forecasts and portfolio performance reporting.
• Deliver actuarial insight to support business planning, underwriting strategy and reserving activities.
• Present technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support process improvement initiatives, pricing governance and wider actuarial projects.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Actuary (or qualified by experience) with experience in General Insurance pricing.
• Strong understanding of Delegated Authority business, MGAs, London Market or Specialty Insurance environments.
• Proven experience delivering pricing analysis and portfolio management insights.
• Advanced Excel skills with experience using data and analytical tools such as SQL, Power BI, Python or R.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence commercial decisions.
• Proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
