NOW HIRING Press Tool Designer - Weld & Assembly Jig Design
Are you an experienced Press Tool Designer with a passion for stamping dies, jig design and bringing new tooling concepts to life? We're recruiting for a talented designer to join a leading automotive manufacturing business, taking ownership of tooling projects from concept through to production release.
The Role- Design press tools, stamping dies, weld and assembly jigs from concept to release
- Apply DFM and GD&T principles to deliver robust tooling solutions
- Support concept reviews, simulations and tooling development activities
- Update designs following trials, spotting and production feedback
- Work closely with engineering, toolmakers and suppliers to deliver successful product launches
- Qualified or time-served Press Tool/Die Designer
- Strong experience designing stamping dies and weld/assembly jigs
- Proficient in CAD and engineering drawings
- Excellent knowledge of GD&T and Design for Manufacture (DFM)
- Automotive manufacturing experience with an understanding of IATF 16949
- A proactive problem-solver who enjoys developing innovative tooling solutions
