Prescription Clerk

Chelmer Medical Partnership is looking for a part-time, experienced Prescription Clerk for 24.5 hours per week to join our friendly Prescription team.

Main duties of the job

The role is responsible for managing and processing prescriptions for patients, ensuring a safe and efficient operation, liaising with our GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, and community pharmacies and providing patient education and advice where appropriate.

Chelmer Medical Partnership is a three-site practice based in Chelmsford - Humber Road Surgery, Melbourne House Surgery and Tennyson House Surgery.

Job responsibilities

To be responsible for theaccurate and timely processing of prescription requests for the entitledpopulation, liaising effectively with all relevant personnel. Duties caninclude, but are not limited to, the processing of repeat prescriptions inelectronic and hard copy format, including online requests and telephone andemail where appropriate. In addition, the post holder will be required tosupport the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the strategic objectives of theorganisation are met.

Additional Criteria

• The successful applicant will have SystmOne experience, an excellent telephone and IT skills, have the ability to work under pressure, and be flexible to be able to work extra hours to support colleagues sickness and holiday absence.
