Position: Practice Nurse

Location: Birmingham

Job Type: Full or part time, permanent

Salary: £19- 27 per hour

I have an exciting Practice Nurse position working on either a full or part time, permanent basis.

In this Practice Nurse role you will be responsible to work within a large primary care team on site.

Duties will include;

• Conduct chronic disease management clinics (e.g. diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension)
• Perform cervical smear tests (cytology) in line with national screening guidelines
• Administer immunisations and vaccinations (e.g. childhood, travel, flu, COVID-19)
• Provide wound care, including dressings, suture removal, and compression therapy
• Offer family planning advice and contraceptive services (within scope of practice)
• Deliver health promotion and lifestyle advice (e.g. smoking cessation, weight management)
• Support minor illness and triage clinics, depending on experience and training
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records using clinical systems (e.g. EMIS, SystmOne)
