Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

This is a full-time (37 hours), permanent post, working Monday to Friday from 0900 to 1700.

The role involves contributing to the Corporate Nursing and Midwifery Practice Education team, supporting practice education across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, including care home settings. Key responsibilities include enhancing the quality of practice learning environments, providing educational support, and facilitating practice development to promote safe, effective, and person-centered care.

We seek enthusiastic registered nurses (from all fields) and midwives with current NMC registration, educated to degree level, with knowledge of contemporary practice and education. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and digital literacy are essential. A Lecturer/Practice Educator/Teacher qualification or higher degree is desirable. Leadership skills such as negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution are also important.
