The OpportunityA Postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Dr Kevin Myant () to carry out a collaborative project to test and develop a novel therapeutic for the treatment of colorectal cancer. The project, sponsored by the industry partner Trogenix, is a collaboration with Prof Steven Pollard () and aims to test the applicability to enhancer driven cell targeting in metastatic disease. The project will use patient derived human organoid models to determine how cancer cells respond to these therapies, providing proof of principle of the applicability of this approach. The position is initially fixed term for 18 months and would be ideally suited to a researcher keen to bridge academic and translational/industry related projects.

The salary for this role is at Grade UE07: £41,064 - £48,822 per annum.
Your skills and attributes for success:- Awarded, or soon to be awarded, PhD in cancer biology or a related biomedical field.
- Previous experience working with organoid culture systems.
- Experience in molecular biology techniques (flow cytometry, viral transductions, qRT PCR, scRNAseq, ATACseq, CUT&RUN etc).
- Previous experience of contributions to translational research projects.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly.
