With the Diamond-II upgrade on the horizon and initiatives such as OpenBind getting off the ground, the MX group at Diamond Light Source is looking to expand its principal scientist team and we now have two roles open:

K04 / I04-1 Principal Beamline Scientist

This role will lead the Diamond-II K04 beamline project and operations of beamline I04-1 working closely with the associated XChem facility to deliver fragment-based drug discovery (FBDD). Beamline operations will transition from I04-1 to the new automated K04 beamline post Diamond-II machine upgrade.

Closing date for applications for this role is 2 nd November.

This post will lead the XChem facility for FBDD at Diamond working closely with the XChem team of the industrial liaison office and the K04 / I04-1 beamline team and develop further the impact of FBDD with colleagues across the MX facilities at Diamond.
