Porter (Bank)

Overview

Porter (Bank) - Winterbourne Hospital, Dorchester. Bank role working on an "as and when required" basis to supplement staffing during busy periods and provide cover during leave or absence.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general and ad hoc tasks to meet the site's operational needs, including patient, equipment, and goods (e.g., pharmacy goods) movement.
• Explain hospital facilities and services to patients and families while escorting them to rooms or other areas.
• Provide courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure patient comfort and dignity at all times.
• Provide security for the facility in accordance with hospital security processes and external patrols as required.
• Comply with all mandatory training and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Front line, customer facing experience.
• Previous portering experience in a healthcare, hotel or hospitality setting is beneficial.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
• Proficiency in PC use, including software and systems.
