Redstone Commodity Search are working with a leading metals producer looking to hire a port manager to join the team in Northwest Spain
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Organize, control, and manage the company's port in coordination with port authorities and administrative bodies.
- Oversee maritime operations, including scheduling, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Develop and enforce regulations, emergency plans, and safety protocols for the port.
- Manage port services (e.g., pilotage, moorings, tugs) and ensure proper resource allocation and safety.
- Promote staff training and monitor the continuous improvement of environmental management and safety.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- 5+ years of strong knowledge of shipping, maritime law, regulations, tugboats, cargo handling, and stowage.
- Strong understanding of international regulations, maritime administration, safety measures, firefighting protocols, and environmental laws.
- Minimum of a Technical Engineer/Graduate, Senior Engineer/Graduate preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is a requirement.
- Located or willing to relocate to Northwest Spain.
