Job Description

At Harris Hill, we are delighted to be partnering with a leading UK medical membership body to recruit a permanent Policy Officer to join their Impact and Evidence team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in developing policy that supports more than 3,000 professionals across the UK and internationally and strengthens patient care across the UK.

As Policy Officer you will lead on monitoring and analysing the political and policy landscape, developing evidence-based briefings, reports and recommendations for senior leadership and external stakeholders. You ll build and manage relationships with funders, members and partners, contribute to advocacy strategy, and represent the Society at key events.

We re looking for a strong communicator with experience of working within a charity or membership policy environment, who can translate complex information into clear, compelling messaging for a range of audiences. You ll be highly organised, politically aware, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-moving external landscape. A genuine interest in influencing change and improving the experience of a professional membership community is essential.

The society is led by an ambitious CEO, who is looking for a collaborative team-player who is excited to build relationships with their funders, members and partners. They are also undertaking a big digital transformation project, and an increasing brand awareness in the sector means there is a great opportunity to utilise connections and become a player of note in the health sector.

  • Salary £32,000- £38,000
  • Location: Angel, London.
  • Hybrid working: 2 days a week in the office. This includes a team anchor day, fortnightly, every other Wednesday.
