Overview

Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Podiatrist Assistant. The closing date is 02 October 2025.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will assist in the delivery of podiatry. Implement individualised patient care plans as prescribed by a Podiatrist registered with the Health Care Professions Council, in clinics, patient's homes and residential homes. Manufacture, finish and fit orthoses as prescribed by a podiatrist. To be able to communicate with the public, professional and non-professional staff. To have access to a suitable vehicle for work purposes.

Person Specification Qualifications and professional training
  • Basic level of education in maths and English
  • Ability to undertake relevant foot care qualification where required
  • NVQ Level 3 in foot care, equivalent qualification or equivalent relevant experience
Experience and knowledge
  • Understanding/willingness to participate in continued professional development
  • Previous work experience in a health or social care environment

  • Ability to manage own time and determine priorities
  • Highly developed organisation skills
