Job Description
SEN Teacher Long-Term Sickness Cover Location: Newham, Forest Gate Contract: Fixed Term Pay - M1 - M6 pay scale An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced SEN Teacher to join our successful SEN Team at a MS Primary School with a SEND Provision. We are seeking a dedicated professional to cover a long-term sickness absence, with experience teaching children with Complex Autism (ASD) and/or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The headteacher has requested that the teacher they interview has experience from a special school or a SEND provision. As a SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons tailored to the needs of our ASD and PMLD pupils, helping them make meaningful progress in their learning. About the School: This is a thriving, two-form entry resourced primary school with morning and afternoon Nursery provision. They provide high-quality education to an inclusive and diverse community, with a strong focus on a creative and sensory curriculum. The school ethos and shared vision underpin excellence in teaching and learning, and pride themselves on fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will: 
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning that meets the needs of all SEN pupils. Raise standards and outcomes within specialist classrooms. Demonstrate a passion for inclusive education, ensuring every child can succeed. Work effectively as part of a supportive, committed, and collaborative staff team. Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to support each child holistically. Show a commitment to professional development and maintaining high personal aspirations. Have experience in a Special School or Resource Provision setting (essential).
