Position: Learning Support Assistant - PMLD Focus
Location:Bromley
Start Date: September

Protocol Education is currently working alongside a highly supportive special needs school in Lambeth that caters to students with a variety of complex learning needs-including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism, and behavioural challenges. The school is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join them in September.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment

  • Remains calm, composed, and solution-focused when facing challenges

  • Brings empathy, understanding, and patience to their daily interactions

  • Can take initiative and support classroom routines confidently

  • Ideally has previous experience working with children or young adults with SEND

  • Is available full-time from September 2025

  • Holds (or is willing to complete) Team Teach training

Your role will involve:

  • Helping create a safe, structured, and engaging environment that supports holistic development

  • Working with teachers and SENCOs to tailor learning and care plans to individual student needs

  • Tracking and reporting student progress to support educational targets

  • Developing positive, trust-based relationships with students and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
