Job Purpose

The Plumbing Technician is responsible for installing,maintaining, inspecting and repairing plumbing and heating systems for domesticand commercial projects. The role requires carrying out plumbing work safely,efficiently and in accordance with company procedures, Irish buildingregulations and health and safety requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Install,maintain and repair plumbing and heating systems.
• Assemble,fit and test pipework, valves, fittings, sanitary ware and associatedplumbing equipment.
• Inspectplumbing and heating systems, diagnose faults and carry out repairs androutine maintenance.
• Readand interpret technical drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Testcompleted installations to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
• Useplumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively to complete assignedwork.
• Ensureall work is carried out in accordance with Irish building regulations,health and safety requirements and company procedures.
• Maintainaccurate records of completed work and communicate progress to supervisorsand colleagues.
• Previousexperience in plumbing installation, maintenance or repair.
• Abilityto read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Goodfault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Abilityto work independently and as part of a team.
• Strongattention to detail and commitment to health and safety.
• Goodcommunication and organisational skills.
