Start Date: Immediate
Pay: £16-£18 per hour (Umbrella PAYE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
Hays Recruitment is supporting a leading facilities management provider with a short-term project at a major university campus in York. We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Plumber's Mate / Labourer to assist with the replacement of 120 radiators in student accommodation.
Please note: This is a confidential client role. Full details will be shared at a later stage
Role Overview:You'll be working alongside qualified plumbers to support the safe and efficient removal and installation of radiators. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with basic plumbing or construction experience looking for immediate work.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the removal and fitting of radiators
• Carrying tools, materials, and equipment between rooms
• Helping to drain and refill heating systems
• Keeping work areas clean and safe
• Following instructions from the lead plumber and site supervisor

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a plumbing, labouring, or construction support role
• CSCS card preferred but not essential
• Good work ethic and punctuality
• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
• Own PPE (boots, hi-vis, gloves)
