Plumber / Gas Engineer - York Temporary (3+ Months) Potential to Go Permanent? 37 Hours per Week Monday-Friday Via HAYS Recruitment Hourly Rate: NegotiableHAYS Recruitment is working with a leading organisation in York to recruit an experienced Plumber / Gas Engineer for a long-term temporary assignment, with a strong possibility of the role becoming permanent.Role OverviewYou will be part of the on-site estates team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a commercial environment. This is a static role, working on one site only, providing a consistent and structured working week.What You'll Be Doing

• Undertaking plumbing and gas maintenance, repairs, and installations
• Responding to reactive issues as needed
• Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Ensuring all work meets compliance and safety standards
• Reporting directly to the Estates Manager

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Plumber with Gas certification (domestic or commercial)
• Experience in commercial building maintenance
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
