Platform Engineer

Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Salary/Rate: £350 per day inside IR35
Start Date: August 2025
Job Type: 4 month initial contract

Company Introduction
We are seeking a technically skilled and proactive engineer to join our financial services support team. This role will focus on the Broadcom SiteMinder component (formerly CA SiteMinder) running on Linux, while also contributing to the broader support and stability of systems including Microsoft Windows Server, IIS, and potentially IBM WebSphere.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
1. Manage and support the Broadcom SiteMinder infrastructure and related components.
2. Build, integrate, and configure environments across Test, Production, and DR.
3. Support test environments and manage release/configuration deployments.
4. Automate release and configuration processes using tools such as GIT/STASH, NOLIO, Jenkins, and Groovy.

Required Skills/Experience
1. Must-have: Strong hands-on experience with Broadcom SiteMinder on Linux.
2. Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server and IIS 7.x+ administration
3. CA Federation, CA Directory, Oracle DSEE/ODU, Oracle DB, LDAP, JBoss, Apache, iPlanet Web Server, IBM WebSphere Application Server
4. Monitoring tools: CA APM, Wily, AppDynamics, Splunk

Desirable Skills/Experience
1. AWS Practitioner or Associate certification.
2. Exposure to enterprise-scale financial services environments.
3. Active Directory & Kerberos Authentication
4. Experience with SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect protocols.
