THE ROLE:

This Service Engineer role will involve maintaining, servicing and repairing a wide range of plant and machinery, both in the workshop and on customer sites.

• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on plant equipment
• Diagnose faults and complete breakdown repairs
• Undertake mechanical, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting
• Attend customer sites to carry out field service work
• Complete inspections and safety checks on equipment
• Prepare equipment for hire and customer handover
• Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
• Ensure high standards of customer service and equipment reliability

THE PERSON:

This role will suit a Plant Fitter, Service Engineer, HGV Technician or Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical skills. Candidates from construction plant, material handling, agricultural machinery, access equipment, powered access or commercial vehicle backgrounds are all encouraged to apply.

• Background as a Plant Fitter, Service Engineer, HGV Mechanic or similar
• Experience servicing, maintaining or repairing mobile equipment
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
• Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting experience would be advantageous
• Construction plant, material handling, agricultural or HGV experience preferred
• Relevant trade qualification is beneficial
• Ability to work independently and manage field-based responsibilities
• Full driving licence
