Plant & Equipment Coordinator

We are seeking a Plant & Equipment (P&E) Coordinator to join our team in Waterford. Reporting to the EHS Director and working alongside the P&E Administrator, this role is critical in managing our P&E operations across various projects and ensuring the highest standards of compliance, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Oversee the daily operation, monitoring, and control of all plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with best practices and safety standards.
- Assist the P&E Admin in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the company's P&E compliance management system, including asset and hire registers.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and site Supervisors to source and procure plant and equipment in line with project needs and procurement protocols.
- Assist in the generation of monthly reports for Weltec management meetings, detailing equipment performance, issues (e.g. lost, recovered, scrapped items), and current hire status.
- Conduct audits and inspections of plant and equipment on sites and in the workshop to ensure they are properly maintained and meet statutory and company safety standards.
- Perform PAT testing as required.
- Respond to site requests for equipment support, troubleshoot issues, and carry out basic maintenance and repairs when necessary.
- Assist the P&E Admin in coordinating with suppliers regarding warranty claims, repairs, and replacements.
- Organise and facilitate the transfer and delivery of plant and equipment, consumables, and prefabricated materials between the workshop and project sites using company vehicles.
- Personally deliver plant and equipment and prefabricated components to various sites as needed.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Basic skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and equipment compliance tracking systems (training and support will be provided on these systems).
- Familiarity with asset management systems using QR codes or similar technologies (training provided on Weltec's system).
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and reporting skills.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work proactively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant mechanical or electrical trade qualification is an advantage.
