Job Description
Position Summary

In this role you will manage the planning and on time delivery of a defined portfolio of parts across the full product lifecycle, including NPI, production, transfers, and supply chain design. You will serve as the primary contact for both external suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring strong relationship management and timely delivery performance. This role also involves driving adherence to supplier commitments, resolving risks to delivery and inventory, and maintaining SAP data integrity in line with ERP processes.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Demand flow down: Review and maintain the planning parameters of all the parts in your portfolio to ensure the MRP run generates a demand signal that is in line with suppliers' capacity.
  • Manage the demand flow down to suppliers, ensuring suppliers receive weekly orderbooks that are reflective of RR needs, including exceptions highlighted by the RR ERP system that need to be reviewed and addressed by the suppliers.
  • Supplier Management: Lead regular reviews with suppliers to ensure the demand flowed down by RR is loaded into the supplier's system, resolve exception management messages, understand production progress against commitments, highlight any issues and ensure treatment plans are in place and monitored to recover any potential delay or excess inventory.
  • Lead regular supplier reviews (delivery reviews and orderbook reviews) in line with the agreed supplier engagement plan, reviewing suppliers' performance across KPIs, load and capacity plan and ensuring it supports RR demand; review all risks and issues with mitigation plans.
  • Work with suppliers to create and execute arrears recovery plans for parts/suppliers who are behind plan, utilising an appropriate suite of planning and control tools.
  • Drive suppliers to comply with their buffer stock requirements/agreements.
  • Stakeholder management: Identify and prioritise delivery issues, assist mitigation and resolution, escalated delivery issues to drive timely resolution, manage communication with stakeholders for shortages and excess inventory, and coordinate with other functions to resolve any impacting issues.
  • ERP compliance: Review all KPIs within the Supplier Management team, present progress and actions to be compliant during weekly ERP compliance reviews.
  • Work with suppliers and internally to resolve any delivery issues not directly linked to the suppliers (e.g., stock in transit, GRIP, NCR stock).
  • Work in line with the Procurement Production System and support its development and improvement activities.
Position Qualifications

Educational background: Educated to degree level in a numerate or business discipline or have equivalent business experience within planning, manufacturing or supply chain.

Professional membership: Membership of a relevant professional body or institute desirable (e.g. APICS CPIM).

Skills and experience: Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications (Excel essential), working knowledge of an ERP system, preferably SAP MRP, Production Planning & Material Management. Understanding of load and capacity planning, data analysis and decision making skills, comfortable dealing with ambiguity. Ability to communicate with all parts of the business including internal and external stakeholders.
