Job Description

We are seeking an organised and reliable Planning & Admin Officer (Out of Hours) to support the Asset Management and Improvement Service.

The role provides planning, systems, and administrative support within the out of hours service, assisting with emergency repairs coordination, monitoring of activity, and ensuring customers and stakeholders receive timely and accurate information.

  • Supporting the planning and allocation of work to ensure resources are optimised and service targets are met.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for out of hours enquiries, progressing emergency repairs to conclusion and ensuring customers are fully informed.
  • Liaising with contractors, internal teams, emergency services, and other external agencies to support service delivery and compliance requirements.
Requirements for the role:
  • GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Experience in a planning, administrative, contact-centre, or operational support role within a busy service environment.
  • Experience of using ICT systems and electronic schedulers accurately in a time-pressured setting.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to agreed timescales.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to deal professionally with challenging customer situations.
