In this role you will use your in-depth knowledge of Supply Chain Planning to improve performance and solve complex problems. You will act as a resource for less experienced colleagues, lead small projects, and provide site-level leadership for end-to-end supply chain planning across one or more product families. You will translate customer demand into optimized production and capacity plans, balancing service, inventory, cost, and operational stability.
Responsibilities- Analyze customer demand and create the Master Production Schedule.
- Track new product introduction activities and communicate relevant information to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with customer operations to gather accurate demand forecasts and incorporate them into production plans.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify trends, assess performance, and make data driven decisions for process improvement.
- Use ERP systems to input and update production plans, ensuring accurate data availability.
- Address unforeseen challenges such as equipment breakdowns, material shortages, or production delays by devising solutions.
- Provide site level ownership of supply chain planning performance and lead cross functional planning forums (capacity reviews, demand reviews, escalation management).
- Define planning standards, set rules and priorities, and mentor other planners and schedulers.
- Identify structural risks and opportunities within the planning system, including capacity gaps, inventory exposure, and master data integrity issues.
- Partner with Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Customer Operations, Finance, and Leadership to drive fact based decision making and resolve complex trade offs.
- Own the design and continuous improvement of planning metrics, dashboards, and analytical tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (desired) or five years of experience in supply chain management if the education requirement is not met.
- At least four years of relevant experience in supply chain planning (or five years if no degree).
- Experience leading team activities and coaching less experienced associates.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office) and experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
- Working experience in a manufacturing environment (medical devices desired).
- Clear written and oral communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Calm demeanor, high energy, adaptability, and a positive can do attitude.
- Advanced Excel skills and a digital mindset with willingness to adapt to new tools, including AI.
- On Time Delivery - percentage of production orders completed within specified timelines.
- Schedule Attainment - alignment of actual production output with planned schedule.
- Sales Order Backorder - volume of customer orders that cannot be fulfilled immediately.
- Inventory Levels - inventory value, days on hand, WIP aging, and finished goods levels relative to targets.
- Capacity Utilization - effective use of available production capacity.
- Stability of mid to long term plans vs revenue target during demand reviews.
- Inventory health relative to service targets and business objectives during supply reviews.
- Capacity alignment vs demand across short, mid, and long horizons.
- Effectiveness of planning escalation management and recovery actions.
- Quality, clarity, and impact of planning insights presented to leadership.
- Advanced Excel usage and digital tool proficiency.
