Role Overview

We are offering a year-long industrial placement opportunity for a university student to join the Modern Workplace practice as an Intern Technical Consultant. This role forms part of a sandwich degree programme and provides practical experience in a consultancy environment.

The role involves working with clients to support the implementation and optimisation of Microsoft 365 tools. Responsibilities include assisting with configuration, providing guidance on usage, and applying best practices to help organisations improve collaboration, communication, and productivity.

The position will involve working with technologies such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva Engage, and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, M365 Copilot and agents).

This opportunity is suited to students with an interest in technology, consulting, and problem-solving, who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a client-facing role within a professional services environment.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of the wider FSP project team to deliver technical solutions to clients
  • Document requirements, advise and consult with customers on their business needs
  • Configuration of relevant products to customer requirements
  • Produce technical artefacts including administration guides and configuration documents
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology developments and promote these within your projects
  • Share knowledge as part of the FSP technical community
About you
  • Working towards a Degree in relevant subject area as part of a course requiring an industrial placement
  • Passion for technology
  • Able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Able to capture end-user requirements design, code, test, correct and document programs
  • Able to assist in the investigation and resolution of problems
  • Possess strong IT skills
