Exciting Opportunity for a Physics Teacher at a High-Achieving Independent School in Durham! Are you an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Physics Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in a supportive and high-performing school? We are delighted to offer a fantastic position at a well-regarded independent school in Durham, known for its excellent academic standards and welcoming staff community. This role will start after the Easter break and is expected to run until the summer, with a 0.8 timetable initially available. However, full-time applicants will also be considered for the right candidate. The Role: As a Physics Teacher, you will join a successful Science department and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject. - Planning and delivering engaging Physics lessons in line with the curriculum
- Inspiring students to develop a strong understanding of scientific principles and real-world applications
- Assessing students' work and providing constructive feedback to support progress
- Creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages academic curiosity
- Collaborating with colleagues within the Science department to share resources and best practice
- Experience teaching Physics at secondary school level
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- The ability to engage and motivate high-achieving students
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification (desirable)
