Priory Hospital Market Weighton is looking to recruit a Physical Healthcare Nurse to join the team. This is a part time role of 22.5 hours per week.

Based in East Yorkshire, Priory Hospital Market Weighton is a level 2 rehabilitation hospital for adult males, offering bespoke and flexible therapeutic programme with therapies focused on stabilisation, skill acquisition, personal development, community integration, and developing competence and confidence in living skills.

We also have close links to Priory Adult Care community services to develop discharge pathways out of the hospital.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

• To provide support to the Nursing and wider MDTs in ensuring the patients in the defined area have their physical healthcare nursing needs identified, care planned and evaluated in accordance with best practice and clinical evidence
• Provide advice and support to colleagues at the site regarding physical healthcare needs in general terms; this includes Infection control, screening programmes and site specific requirements, depending on the clinical speciality
• Be the site lead for Infection Prevention and control
• To deliver high quality clinical assessment, treatment and care to a defined group of service users within a hospital setting.

Minimum 2 years post registration experience within Physical Health Care Environment, evidence of continued professional development in relevant field.
