Position Summary

This is a role that requires flexibility and the ability to think creatively. The successful candidate will have the aptitude to grow and shape the role, as the business grows and you will have a strong focus on PHP Application and Website development with a foundation in other front-end web technologies including JS/CSS/HTML.

Job Responsibilities:

• Establish and follow coding standards and best practices for PHP based development
• Analyze application requirements and design database
• Develop modules, components based on the required development framework from manager
• Research latest technology to provide solutions for innovation requirements
• Apply security rules and performance improvement techniques for tool well
• Playing a lead role in software design, architecture, requirements analysis, investigation of leading-edge technologies, and software development
• Contribute with ideas and efforts towards the project and work as part of a team to find solutions on various problems
• Supervising junior web developers, analysing areas of weakness, and scheduling training sessions accordingly.
• Analysing and reviewing other developers code to ensure consistency and standards.
• Work with designers to implement custom skins and templates for the front-end.
• Providing fault-finding expertise, and following issues through to their resolution.
• Translating project requirements and technical specifications into code and applications.
• Communicating effectively at all levels; within the team, with business users, and other departments
• Providing out of hours support, as and when required, to cover key business events.
• Excellent communication in the English language, both verbal and written

Qualifications for Senior PHP developer:

• 4+ years of experience in development of production applications using PHP and MySQL
• Extensive experience of the Laravel and React frameworks
• Web service integration using technologies such as XML, SOAP, REST
• Version control and deployment systems and methodology
• Ability to identify issues and problem areas, either functional or performance-related, and proactively identify solutions
• Passion for excellence, creativity, and team collaboration
