PhD Position in the field of surface science (m/f/d)

• Writing a dissertation at the University of Graz in the area of surface science
• Characterisation of single molecules on surfaces using scanning tunnelling microscopy as well as spectroscopic methods
• Investigation of elementary chemical processes with ultra-high spatial and temporal resolution
• Presentation of scientific work both within the institute and at national/international conferences
• Independent teaching of courses and participation in teaching and examination tasks of the institute
• Supervision of students
• Participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures

• Completed diploma or master's degree in the area of Chemistry or Physics
• Knowledge and/or practical experience in scanning probe methods, optics, ultra-high vacuum, or low-temperature experiments
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
• High degree of motivation, personal responsibility, and organisation
• Ability to work and communicate in a team

We offer an annual gross salary of € 52,007.20 for a fulltime position.
