We are currently recruiting a Pharmacy Technician for a well-established hospital in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and motivated professional to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team within a modern clinical setting.

Job Type Permanent / Full-time
  • Support the Pharmacist in the accurate and safe dispensing of prescription and non-prescription medicines.
  • Prepare and label prescriptions accurately in accordance with Irish pharmacy regulations and professional practice standards.
  • Provide appropriate advice to patients on the safe and effective use of prescribed medicines and OTC products within the scope of the role.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and pharmacy documentation.
  • Assist with stock management activities, including ordering, receiving, storing, and rotating inventory to reduce wastage.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Irish pharmacy legislation, including Medicinal Products and Misuse of Drugs Regulations.
  • Operate pharmacy dispensing and stock management systems efficiently and accurately.
  • Participate in health promotion campaigns and public health initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised pharmacy environment.
  • Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including customer service, administrative support, and responding to customer enquiries.
Requirements
  • Hold a recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification.
  • Previous experience working in a retail pharmacy environment is desirable.
  • Demonstrate strong numerical aptitude with excellent attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Have a sound knowledge of medicines, their therapeutic uses, and potential side effects.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of pharmacy legislation, regulations, and ethical practice.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach with a professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
  • Exhibit strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload.
