Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Leeds, a Category B men's prison housing males aged 21+.

This role is part of a busy pharmacy team of 18 and offers a structured learning and development pathway.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, usual shift times (07:00-16:00, 3-4 times per week, one 07:00-21:00 shift every other week, and 08:00-16:00 shift every other weekend).

Salary: £34,428-£41,658 per annum (FTE), depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide outstanding quality patient centred care, seeking out, listening to and acting on patient feedback so care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • Maintain patient medical records to the agreed standard and ensure standard operating procedures are followed to a high, orderly standard.
  • Deliver non judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, including timely administration of medicines and analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our Health in Justice medicines policy.
  • Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC, or equivalent
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
  • General GCSE education or equivalent
  • Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
  • Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment is desirable but not essential
