R&D Technology Transfer Engineer

Permanent Location: Swords, Co. Dublin

Position Description

Reporting to the Associate Director, Technology Transfer, the candidate is responsible for executing technology transfer activities for new product introductions within R&D. They will focus on the successful introduction of new products to the Swords site, aligning with customer expectations and executing manufacturing campaigns up to and including qualification of new processes. The role ensures seamless scale up from lab/pilot to commercial scale, ensuring process robustness, GMP compliance, and repeatable product quality. The Technology Transfer Process Engineer will work as part of a cross functional team of process chemists and engineers.

• Proficiency with process engineering tools such as Dynochem or Computational Fluid Dynamic software (desirable).
• Good knowledge of regulatory and safety guidelines.
• Ability to lead cross functional teams and drive decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
• Analytical thinking, problem solving, and root cause analysis.
• High attention to detail and strong quality mindset.
• Adaptability in a fast paced CDMO environment with multiple concurrent projects.
• Ability to work across modalities (small molecules, HPAPI, peptides, etc.).

Requirements

• Honours degree in chemical or process engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in the bulk pharmaceutical industry with technology transfer experience.
• Experience transferring processes from lab to pilot or commercial scale with knowledge of relevant cGMP, safety, and environmental regulations.
