Job Description

Job Title: Personal Tutor

Closing Date: 20 July 2026, 23:59

Pay: Up to £13,980 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

Hours: 18.5 hours per week, 52 weeks.

Position Type: Part Time

Location: Worcester Campus (travel to additional campuses may be required).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pastoral and academic support to students, including tutorial support, monitoring progress, and fostering group identity.
  • Coordinate and deliver group tutorial programmes and induction programmes.
  • Assist students during induction, facilitating a smooth transition to their courses.
  • Support academic progress: set targets, monitor attendance, provide feedback, use the College ILP system.
  • Maintain accurate student records and support the completion of references and disciplinary processes.
  • Deliver curriculum content: prepare lesson plans, resources, and assessments, use appropriate ILT and teaching techniques.
  • Advocate for vulnerable student groups and ensure safeguarding duties are fulfilled.
  • Participate in safeguarding, equality, diversity, performance management, CPD and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as reasonably allocated, including First Aid qualification and role specific tasks.
