This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Personal Tax Manager to join a professional and supportive team, taking responsibility for a varied portfolio of private clients and delivering high-quality personal tax services.

The position offers a varied mix of personal tax compliance and advisory work, making it particularly appealing to someone who enjoys managing client relationships, providing specialist tax advice and taking ownership of their portfolio.

Key responsibilities of the Personal Tax Manager will include:

• Managing a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals, company directors and business owners.
• Overseeing the preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns.
• Providing advice on personal tax planning, capital gains tax and inheritance tax matters.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant tax legislation and meeting statutory deadlines.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing practical tax advice and resolving queries.
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients and assisting with tax enquiries.
• Reviewing work prepared by junior colleagues and providing guidance where required.
• Working closely with Partners on complex tax matters and advisory assignments.
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional services and strengthen client relationships.
  
  

The successful Personal Tax Manager will have:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
• ATT or CTA qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK personal taxation.
• Previous experience managing a portfolio of personal tax clients.
• Experience in personal tax compliance and advisory work.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise directly with clients.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues.
• A proactive, professional approach with excellent attention to detail.
