Personal Tax Manager

TC Smith & Goulding are looking to expand and strengthen our team with the addition of another Personal Tax Manager, either on a full time or part time basis. The role will provide the opportunity to widen your experience and progress further in the firm.

Key responsibilities of a Personal Tax Manager will include:

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax returns comprising of company directors, property owners, high net worth individuals, sole traders and partnerships.
• Being first point of contact for our clients and assisting the directors with ad hoc queries
• Assist with advice in relation to Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax and potentially a portfolio of Trusts
• Other specific areas of knowledge which would be useful are national insurance, overseas matters and farmers averaging
• You will be involved in the training of students and provide ad hoc tax advice for the accounts team.

About you

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Ideally you will have formal qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CTA. We are happy to consider candidates who are qualified by experience
• Possesses excellent analytical and review skills
• Is eager to progress and develop, with the willingness to adapt
• Demonstrates a high level of honesty and integrity
• Has the ability and desire to coach and develop junior members of staff
• A self-starter with the motivation to see projects through to completion
• An effective communicator and listener and who and would collaborate well with the rest of our team
• Wants to make a positive impact on our firm and be part of our journey into the future
