- Managing a portfolio of OL/PL claims from initial instruction through to final resolution.
- Undertaking detailed legal research and delivering clear, practical legal advice to clients.
- Preparing and drafting key legal documentation, including pleadings and witness statements.
- Negotiating settlements and representing clients at court hearings where required.
- Operating effectively within a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve successful case outcomes.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal developments, legislation, and regulatory changes.
- Demonstrable track record of billing while managing a litigated caseload.
- Strong determination and resilience in progressing cases.
- A proactive approach to advancing matters through litigation to secure the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Experience handling OL/PL fast-track claims. While the caseload is predominantly non-portal, familiarity with the portal process is essential.
- Sound knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, relevant precedents, and litigation trends, with the ability to apply this knowledge strategically to achieve favourable client outcomes.
- Proven experience managing litigated matters from inception through applications and procedural challenges to trial or final disposal hearings.
- Previous experience using the Proclaim case management system would be advantageous.
